Amusing by abusing myself

Multiple times in life we try to do self-analysis, this is usually an insight for a blink of an eye. The real essence of self-analysis is to look deep into your heart what is right and wrong for me. The intrinsic value of it is to be on the ladder of betterment, upward growth & improvement in character. Leaving a sinful life, stop betraying yourself. If we can do our scheduling, plan our day, segregate proper time for activities we can come to know how effectively we can use time. But the matter of fact is we are always waste this imminent and immaculate thing which has no substitute. I can claim it without a shadow of doubt that that if we can plan and control the time we can get a better control of ourselves either it's in student life, professional or retiree. As there is a common saying that "you plan to fail if you fail to plan", similarly another scholar said "Time is like a sword, break it before it breaks you"
The topic of my writing amusing by abusing is something very shocking, but interesting at the same time. I would like to share an amazing experienced that I've endured, in fact a technique to rectify ourselves on a right path (any pre planned objectives or aimed life, which you have bench-marked). Well, I was having an exam at my academy and the day all of the teachers were absent and there was a single professor who was supervising three different classes at a time which were position juxtaposed. I was up to take a piece of paper and experienced that the Professor is busy compiling some papers and having a cup of tea, all the students were busy writing and nobody was even trying to look here and there and grab some hint to fill the missing spaces in their exam sheet. I was shocked because this is totally opposite to what I have seen in my schooling since grade 1st to 10th and then in intermediate, board exams and then Bachelors and masters in university bla bla... I have never experienced such a discipline and harmony among the attendees of exam or students anywhere on the face of this earth in my 29 years of lifetime. I was just thinking on the lines the paper ended and after an hour we had a second sessional, well I got busy in revising stuff and the second exam started after an hour, again experienced the same attitude.
When I was done, yet others were busy in their attempts, I visited the professor and asked him about that? He understood and said to me lad, you came late actually the principal visited before the exam started and he made a wish in front of all that "if you ever cheat in an exam, I wish you stay deprived of its blessings and this institution will add nothing good to your character". So everybody obeyed him like the way it's meant to be, because all attendees were seekers of knowledge and not just wanted degrees for market benefits, they came up with an intention to build a real character. A thought just clicked me at the same time that we as a public are continuously looking for Leaders who can bring change, are we sure about it that the upcoming hegemony would be a real change agent and things will get better by we staying the same intrinsically. The answer to this is a blunt NO. If you have to catch the Emirates flight at 6 am, you are at the airport at 4 am, because you are 100% sure that if you'll leave the bed late you'll miss a flight, it's something imperative to catch e.g. I'd like to relate it to Fajr Namaz (early morning prayers) you lay down in a bed till late like a lousy cat and miss that important flight of spiritual meeting with our Lord, so now at this point need an analytical test that, do you have a bad feeling of missing that important thing, or it wasn't prioritized or you think it's not that important. Similarly, there is a need to have a feeling within that while breaking a traffic signal I am doing a violation of Law and I should abstain from it. While bribing, give it a second thought that whatever the reason is, this act of mine is going to add good or bad to the society, the inner you will give you a pretty sure answer of it; later you may deny it by whatever lame excuse you spun in your mind.
So my insight from this experience is to set your targets short term and long term, personal and professional. Then, as per your plan abuse yourself that if I'll fail to achieve this objective till this date and time I am "stupid", you can use any word in inverted commas I am using a sophisticated one or you can simple condition a wish with that objective which may be against you and then use this technique as a driving force to meet your objective. After every act of yours do a self-analysis that was you right or wrong. Stop blaming others for your studies, professional life, society and people on the road. Look deep into your inner self that what you have done which would have brought positive results. Prioritize your activities, appreciably by writing them down in your diary or e-diary, planner on a smart phone. Make this an aim of your life to be a nice citizen, always thinking of adding good to the society, to peoples' lives and all this will bring a huge positivism in yourself for sure.

World's First Women Rights Organization

Historically a women in pre-Islamic Arabia had no rights whatsoever. In France , the women was considered sub-human and therefore was taken as root cause of all society’s ills. In China, she was considered as an agent to Devil and hence enticed men towards evil, where as in Japan, she was shunned and always kept isolated for the reason that she is created impure and hence directed all impurities of society towards her.
Even in the religious belief she wasn't respected and was always looked down. Like in Hinduism widows are considered not to be fit for the society and undeserved to live that life which is gifted by God and hence they were burned alive together with their spouse. Along the same lines Christianity considered women as an obstacle to spiritual upbringing of men and hence they are encouraged to live out their lives as virgins while men lived as monks.
The women’s plight was perhaps the worst in the Arabian Peninsula, where girls were considered as a curse and when someone was blessed with a daughter their faces used to turn black with anger and disappointment, finally they were buried alive by the parents and there was no soft corner in their heart for the little angels. Her rights were so trampled that, just as inheritance is distributed to the offspring after a man passes away, the wife was also given to the eldest son in marriage as part of the inheritance. In another case the wife surviving the husband, the poor women would be condemned to a hut outside city for two years with only the bare necessities for existence. If still left alive after facing such hard circumstances, her face was blackened and she would be paraded in the city with an open coverage so that everybody is acquainted prior to she started living with her family again. (Human Rights, Women Rights) Now the question is, why she was subjected to all these hard circumstances when she wasn't liable for her husband’s death?
So Christianity and Jewish beliefs were there already. It was in the society, where women right were under attack from all directions in the meantime Allah sent His Messenger with the Gift of Islam which is the most modern religion among all. The Messenger of Allah raised women’s rights to their proper place by educating the masses that women were sisters, mothers, and wives who were to be cherished and protected. This was the foundation of first Women Rights organization on the face of this earth.

Shift sets (Physical activity during work) 5 times Salat best linked to it

Assalam.o.elikum! (May peace and blessings of Allah be on you)

"Alhumdulillah. Indeed, all praise is due to Allah. We praise Him and seek His Help and forgiveness. We seek refuge in Allah from our souls' evils and our wrong doings. He whom Allah guides, no one can misguide; and he whom He misguides, no one can guide."

This blog is concerned to HBR's "Train you brain to focus"

According to latest researches as mentioned in it, following are the three ways you can start to improve your focus.

Tame your frenzy.
Frenzy is an emotional state, a feeling of being a little (or a lot) out of control. It is often underpinned by anxiety, sadness, anger, and related emotions. Emotions are processed by the amygdala, a small, almond-shaped brain structure. It responds powerfully to negative emotions, which are regarded as signals of threat. Functional brain imaging has shown that activation of the amygdala by negative emotions interferes with the brain's ability to solve problems or do other cognitive work. Positive emotions and thoughts do the opposite — they improve the brain's executive function, and so help open the door to creative and strategic thinking.

Apply the brakes.
Your brain continuously scans your internal and external environment, even when you are focused on a particular task. Distractions are always lurking: wayward thoughts, emotions, sounds, or interruptions. Fortunately, the brain is designed to instantly stop a random thought, an unnecessary action, and even an instinctive emotion from derailing you and getting you off track.

Shift Sets.
While it's great to be focused, sometimes you need to turn your attention to a new problem. Set-shifting refers to shifting all of your focus to a new task, and not leaving any behind on the last one. Sometimes it's helpful to do this in order to give the brain a break and allow it to take on a new task.

What can you do? Before you turn your attention to a new task, shift your focus from your mind to your body. Go for a walk, climb stairs, do some deep breathing or stretches. Even if you aren't aware of it, when you are doing this your brain continues working on your past tasks. Sometimes new ideas emerge during such physical breaks.

What can your team do? Schedule a five-minute break for every hour of meeting time, and encourage everyone to do something physical rather than run out to check email. By restoring the brain's executive function, such breaks can lead to more and better ideas when you reconvene.
Organizing your mind, and your team members' minds, will yield a solid payoff in the year ahead. Adding "high-quality focus" is a great place to start. Try holding a no-multitasking meeting and see what happens when everyone in the room gives their undivided attention. Have you ever tried this in your organization? If not, do you think it would fly?

Whats my point in it is that as per Islamic practices "Offering Salat five times a day", which is obligatory as per Allah's and His Messenger's order to us. If we practice this. No doubt as per above stated “shift sets”, it's the best activity, to give your mind a break out of work and then coming back to work with new energy and enthusiasm. It includes walk, ablution, going to place for offering Salat. And itself the activities involved in Salat are best assigned by The All-Knower, The Creator to make our mind work in the best way. And hopefully in the days to come, new researches on brain activation will be showing benefits of prostration (Inshallah). Stay Blessed.

"Glory be to your Lord, the Lord of Might above what they describe. And peace be upon those sent. And praise be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds." (Surah As-Saffat 37:180-182)

Second richest man in Asia and 19th-richest in the world

"$22.3 billion net worth"

Right behind Ambani: Ukrainian mining and steel tycoon Rinat Akhmetov (the world’s 39th richest person with a net worth of $16 billion), owner of FC Shakhtar Donesk, a soccer club in the Ukrainian Premier League that became the only team from Ukraine to capture a UEFA Cup championship in 2009.
In generating our list of the world’s richest sports owners, we stayed clear of those owning small minority stakes or who are otherwise uninvolved in running team operations. That list would include John Malone of Liberty Media, which owns the Atlanta Braves, and David Thomson of Thomson Reuters, which owns the NHL’s Winnipeg Jets through True North Sports & Entertainment.
Others making the cut: Russians Mikhail Prokhorov (worth $13.2 billion), owner of the NBA’s New Jersey Nets and Roman Abramovich ($12.1 billion), who controls Chelsea F. C of the English Premier League. The U.S. contingent is concentrated in the NBA: Miami Heat’s Micky Arison ($4.7 billion) and the Orlando Magic’s Richard DeVos $5 billion), along with the multi-team sports tycoons Allen and Philip Anchutz ($7 billion).

Speculation of Audi interest in Ducati

Audi AG (NSU) is in talks to buy Ducati Motor Holding SpA (DMH), the maker of luxury motorbikes ridden by celebrities such as Brad Pitt, from owner Investindustrial SpA, according to two people familiar with the matter.
Audi, which has the right of first refusal on a purchase until mid-April, is considering a total price of about 850 million euros ($1.12 billion) for the Italian company, which would include assuming some 800 million euros in liabilities, said one of the people, who declined to be identified discussing private negotiations.

Volkswagen AG (VOW) Chairman Ferdinand Piech first publicly expressed interest in buying Ducati in April 2008, eventually losing out to current owner Investindustrial. Purchasing Ducati would add a motorcycle maker to VW’s nine brands, which include the Audi, Skoda and Lamborghini auto marques as well as heavy truckmakers Scania AB and MAN SE. Ducati would complement Audi’s luxury-car lineup with products such as the $28,000 Superbike 1199 Panigale S Tricolore.
“You really have to push the envelope to see obvious benefits for a car company to own a motorcycle business,” said Erich Hauser, a London-based analyst at Credit Suisse Group AG. One could be forgiven for seeing this as “just another attempt by VW in empire building,” he said.
Investindustrial, a Milan-based private equity company, may hold an initial public offering of Ducati in Hong Kong this year or sell it to a rival, two people familiar with the plans said last month. Ducati was delisted from the Milan exchange in 2008.

Ducati Interest

Audi must still do due diligence on the potential deal, the people said. Christine Ritz, head of VW investor relations, said the carmaker doesn’t comment on market speculation. A spokesman for Investindustrial declined to comment on the matter when contacted by Bloomberg.
Hero MotoCorp Ltd. (HMCL), India’s biggest motorcycle maker, said March 5 that Ducati is one of the assets it’s examining as it looks for acquisitions to expand overseas. Bayerische Motoren Werke AG (BMW), which already makes motorcycles under the BMW brand, said last month it’s not interested in Ducati.
Volkswagen Chief Executive Officer Martin Winterkorn said yesterday at the carmaker’s annual meeting that he keeps his eyes open to what’s for sale on the market, when asked about whether VW was interested in buying Ducati.
U.K. automotive magazine CAR first reported the discussions between Audi and Ducati.

Transparent Personality

Throughout it's history this world has produced infinite illustrious personalities. But as a character these were personalities who distinguished themselves by themselves in fitted particular domains like politicians, military leaders, social workers and Allah knows many more. The stories of earlier prophets are so manipulated with fiction that there is no longer authentic and accurate information available. But this is not the case with Prophet Muhammad (may peace and blessings of Allah be on him), who accomplished so much in so many diverse fields. Every detail of his private life and public speeches has been kept as documented and preserved in a careful manner up to the present day. In fact there is no parable of biography like his in current days.
The personality under discussion is was noble and balanced and his lifestyle was all-encompassing. His biography is found in his sayings and it can be related to all people at all times: in hardships or ease, war or peace, defeat or victory. And within them can be found every feature of his character- for example
- He was a devout worshiper:
His greatest pleasure was in prayer i.e. when a believer is closest to his Lord. He always remembers Allah and asks for forgiveness on his humanly errors. His praises and supplications reflect the highest degree of sincerity & servitude and the highest aspiration one can have for himself and others. He was indifferent with worldly desires and content with little but didn't refuse the good things of the life when available. He said "What do I need of this world? It is like the shade of the tree in which the rider naps at noon; then he moves on and leaves it". When prophet guided people for worship he warned them against going to extremes in practice of religion.
- Member of a family and community:
Despite of his extra ordinary spirituality and indifference to the world, he was not heedless of the central aspects of the life nor did he neglect his duties and responsibilities. He did not forget that he was a husband, father, grand father, relative, neighbor, friend and leader and that each has obligations toward others. He would joke with his companions at times, yet not speak except the truth. When he was angry it did not prevent him from justice and morality and when he was saddened he bored it with patience and acceptance.
- Head of State, Teacher & Advisor:
He became the head of the state surrounded from all sides by enemies. He established political ties with various factions among the local inhabitants and drew up a constitution. He received delegations and sent messages. He knew that man has a responsibility to develop the earth and civilize it, and was a perfect example of balance and moderation. He advised people to spend with in their means, neither to be so excessive as to make themselves insolvent , nor to withhold form those in need. It is said that morals are known during power and predominance. When the Prophet enjoyed power and influence, he demonstrated the highest level of morality, even towards those who opposed him in combat.
